Yuan Yuan and Huayi’s McDaniel Farm engagement session was a special one! Not only they are getting married soon, but they are also one of my very best friends here in Atlanta. We were super lucky because there were practically nobody at the park while we shoot. It’s right in the middle of Dragon Con festival and football season so I guess everyone was either out for the parade or watching football at home.
Just as I treat every couple I get to photograph with, I shared a Pinterest board specifically with Yuan Yuan so that we can pin pictures that we liked online. One week before the shoot, I finalized the style we are looking for and add my own personal creativity and plan out the shots I am going to take.
To tell you a little secret, none of us were planning to take photos at McDaniel Farm. We were actually going to shoot at Sweetwater Creek State Park but it was closed at 5pm that day. Every photograph you are about to see below were not planned beforehand. I have to say I am super proud by the awesome couple and my wife who helped me along the way (May be I should pad myself on the back too for the awesome photograph :D)!
Last but not least, I want every client to have different photos even though I shot at McDaniel farm many times. I use flash to backlight the shots, I use natural light, I use great background that I found that can be use for different style of photos the couples are looking for. The creativity is endless!
